About Myself

H ello, my name is Peter Salmon, and here is a little bit about myself:

I have been a Scientologist for about 10 years. My wife and I have a fairly successful business framing and selling pictures. I am studying the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer courses as I am interested in computing and would like to work in that field. We live in Sydney but are from Melbourne originally. I used to be a busker (playing tenor saxophone) and walked past the Melbourne Church of Scientology each night on the way to get a tram home. One night I went in to do a personality test (advertised on a sandwich board outside). As a busker I would watch thousands of people walk by me each day and I noticed that only about three in a hundred were actually 'there,' the rest were just walking their bodies along with the being off somewhere else. The first thing I noticed in the church was that all the people I saw working there were 'there.' I actually found it a little frightening that all the people I spoke to in the church were actually there speaking to me as it was such an uncommon occurrence. I don't mean that these people were unusually intense or anything like that, but simply that they listened when I spoke and were actually talking to me when they spoke to me. For years I had had an interest in spirituality and had looked into a variety of religions, particularly eastern religions (knowing that there were some real answers somewhere). I had found some wisdom but I had never found anything which helped me to DO something about my life; the best I could have hoped for was a vague possibility I might perhaps get some sort of spiritual improvement if I meditated in some way for long hours over a period of many years. That night I talked to one person in particular for several hours and got a lot of questions answered by being given passages in books written by L. Ron Hubbard to read. I was so impressed with the fact that here was something that I could DO that I ended up joining the staff. A few months later I met my wife and within the next three years I met my kids (two of whom are twins) I would recommend Scientology to anyone but I particularly want to add this: Since being in Scientology I have found that my earlier certainty that there was a religion which had the knowledge of how to do something to improve man's lot (particularly this man) came from the fact that I had been a Scientologist in my last life. If you have the feeling that there is something important you should know, or something important you should be doing but don't really know what it is, then I truly recommend buying and reading any Scientology book - you really can have no idea how much there is to regain of yourself, your ability and your knowledge.[End]
