Before I was in Scientology I used to drink heavily and take drugs. I had given up taking drugs when I first started in Scientology but I still had their after affects; I was disinterested in life and often depressed. I also didn't really like other people much and I blamed others for my life being pretty miserable. Since joining Scientology that has all changed: I no longer have any of the after affects of the drugs I took; I seldom drink and then only a glass or two of wine or beer in company; and I never get depressed. I am far more mentally alert and I am interested in my life and in others. I have a great marriage to a lovely woman and three wonderful kids. With the knowledge of study I gained from L. Ron Hubbard's work I have helped my kids in their schooling (which they seldom have any problem with now) and each of them is bright, healthy and happy. Recently I started studying to become a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. If I hadn't learnt about study through Scientology I would have quickly given up studying the first course in the program but with the knowledge I gained on study I have been able to understand what I have been reading and find out the things which weren't explained in the MCSE course. For example, I found three sets of contradicting facts given in the course. I have read web pages of at least half a dozen MSCE students and only one of them noticed only one of the sets of contradictory facts. These are actually only a few of the successes I have had with Scientology; just the first to come to mind. The main thing I've found with L. Ron Hubbard's technology is that it works, and it gives you the opportunity to be yourself, be happy and be able to be in control of, and improve your own life.
